The Polls Are Open! Vote for your Favorites… & A Pinterest Contest

Vote! ButtonWas that a party or what?!  You guys outdid yourselves! I can’t thank you enough for your enthusiasm for this event.  Extra special thanks to Poppy for jumping into the fray and asking folks to correct their links.  By the time I got to the Potluck it was nearly seamless.  Despite a few hiccups, asking for those permalinks ahead of time paid off.  Also, a word to Betsy: you may regret offering your help for the next one – cuz I’m takin’ you up on that!  Now – ahem – it’s time to VOTE!

Collage of VVP PrizesThe voting form is now available, so you can select your favorite dishes from each of the eight courses – – PLUS – – select the blogger who made the most delicious and creative use of the Featured Ingredient, beets.  I’ve got eight beautiful vegan cookbooks to hand out (one per winner) and a very special, handmade piece of pottery by our own Cadry Nelson (Olive Pit Pottery) for the winner of the Featured Ingredient category.  And get this:  ALL nine winners will receive $75 worth of products from NuNaturals (the folks behind those amazing stevia and other natural sweetener products)!  Whoa!

NuNaturals CollageSo what about that Pinterest contest? Angela has been absolutely stellar in helping me out during this Potluck.  Not only did she mentor a group, talk me down from several ledges, make me laugh, and manage the VVP Pinterest board, she worked with NuNaturals to arrange for the donation of some amazing prizes.  Here’s how it’s going to work.  First, you need to follow the Virtual Vegan Potluck November 2013 Board*.  Then – – start pinning!  Get those mouthwatering photos of your VVP recipe up on the board and promote the you-know-what-out-of-it!  The recipe/photo that gets the most re-pins will win $125 worth of NuNaturals products!

*I’ve sent invitations to join the VVP Board to those that I could.  If you did not receive an invitation and you have a Pinterest account, you need to follow me first then let me know that you’ve done so.  I will then be able to send you an invitation.  Once you accept, you will be able to pin with abandon!

Speaking of Pinterest, if you created a VVP recipe using beets, you need to check out Angela’s Board, Virtual Vegan Beetfest!  Happy voting and pinning, kids!  Voting ends at midnight on December 2.
